I haven't checked the catalytic converter specifically. Did you pinpoint the exact issue? Was it related to the oxygen sensor, and how did you resolve it?

Yep, it was the oxygen sensor in the end. I tried a few things myself, but honestly, I'm no mechanic. I ended up taking it to a workshop, and they sorted it out pretty quickly. Best to get it checked professionally to avoid further damage. Cost me about 95€, all in.

Okay, I appreciate the confirmation and advice. I'll take it to a trusted workshop to have the oxygen sensor and related connections thoroughly inspected. Hopefully, it's a straightforward fix like yours! The repair cost falls in the acceptable range. Thanks again!

I had a similar experience with my Nemo. The check engine light was driving me nuts, and my fuel efficiency tanked. Have you checked the catalytic converter too? Sometimes an aging exhaust sensor throws up false flags.
