Civic electrical malfunction and navigation failure
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Honda Civic diesel experienced a general electrical malfunction and non-functional navigation system, suspected to be due to implausible control unit programming. The issue was similar to a problem with a 2016 Opel Insignia, where the ECU was faulty. The suggested solution was to have the control unit's software reloaded by a professional, which successfully resolved the problem.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thank you for your reply. I checked the fuses. Are you able to elaborate on how the issue was resolved with your Opel Insignia?

Sure. I initially thought it might be a simple fix, like a software bug that a quick patch could resolve. I even tried reflashing the control module myself, which I definitely do not recommend. Turns out, the ECU was fried. You will need to bring it to the workshop. From there they can reload the software and hopefully the problem is solved for 240€.

I appreciate the advice. I took it to a professional. You were correct. They reloaded the software of the control unit and the problem is solved.

Wow, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar nightmare with my 2016 Opel Insignia. Exact same symptoms: seemingly random electrical gremlins, and the infotainment system was completely bricked. The onboard diagnostics were throwing all sorts of generic error codes, making it impossible to pinpoint the actual problem. Did you try to check the fuses?
