Civic Headlight Range Error
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Honda Civic Hybrid is experiencing a headlight range control error, with the warning light on and low beams misaligned. Possible causes include issues with the adaptive headlights, such as a defective servomotor or problems with electrical connectors. Suggested solutions involve checking the connectors and fuses, but ultimately, taking the car to a workshop is recommended for a thorough diagnosis and repair.

Thanks for the tip! When you say similar, was it the same symptoms with the headlight range and the warning light? And did you check the connectors yourself, or did you take it somewhere?

Yes, the symptoms were almost identical. I didn't attempt to fix it myself beyond checking the fuses. Given the adaptive nature of the headlights, and potential control module issues, I felt it best to take it to a workshop. They mentioned something about a defective servomotor in the headlight, although I'm not completely sure what it meant.

Okay, thanks so much for the info! I think I will bring it in, too, and see what they say. The workshop told me it was a defective servomotor, and I had to pay 1040€ for the repair. Hopefully, it's just that and not the control module! Appreciate the help!

Interesting. I had something similar happen with my Civic, though it wasn't a hybrid. Do your adaptive headlights seem to be working at all? Have you checked the electrical connectors to the headlights to make sure they are clean and secure? It could be a simple light intensity issue, or something more involved. It is always worth checking the easy solutions before doing something more complex
