Civic Lighting Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Honda Civic Hybrid is experiencing a lighting fault where the lights turn on randomly, and an error related to the light switch is stored. The issue could be due to a faulty dimmer switch or defective cable or plug connections. It is suggested to have a qualified technician examine the wiring and switch, as a similar issue was resolved by replacing the switch.

Thanks for the quick reply! When you say wiggling the switch, do you mean the dimmer switch specifically? And did you also get an error code stored in the memory when your lights acted up?

Yes, I mean the dimmer switch. And yes, there was indeed an error code present. Given the symptoms and the error code, I would suggest having a qualified technician examine the wiring and switch. In my case, the issue was resolved with a new switch. It cost 95€, including labor.

Okay, that's super helpful! I'll take it to a workshop to get the switch and wiring checked. I really appreciate the insight!

I had a similar problem with my Civic. It sounds like a faulty headlight switch. Have you tried wiggling the switch or the surrounding wires to see if it triggers the lights?
