CLA Air Suspension Issues

My 2013 Mercedes CLA with a gasoline engine is riding on its axles The air suspension is completely shot I've got over 205000 km on it The car won't lift, it's leaning to one side, and the dashboard is lit up with error messages The low beams are pointing way too low and there is a warning light in the speedometer I scanned the codes and it's pointing to the air suspension compressor Has this happened to anyone else Could it be something simple like a bad connection on the suspension pump or air struts Any advice before I start spending money on suspension components and the whole air suspension system

I have a CLA, and I had a similar issue with my air suspension. The symptoms you describe match what I experienced. I would advise you to check the cable and plug connections of the air suspension compressor, as a defective connection can indeed cause these malfunctions. Did you notice any unusual noises coming from the compressor before it failed completely Also, have you checked the fuse for the air suspension system That would be the first thing I would look into.

Thanks for the quick response I didn't notice any weird noises before it went completely kaput Where exactly is the fuse located I'll check the cable and plug connections on the suspension pump, but is there a specific area I should be looking at for corrosion or damage Any tricks to getting to it

The fuse location should be in your owner's manual, there are usually fuse diagrams in there. Regarding the connections, pay close attention to the connector pins themselves. Look for any signs of green corrosion, or if any of the pins look bent or pushed in. It is difficult to say how to get to the connection without a manual but I would recommend taking it to the workshop to check the error memory, as it is a relatively quick and inexpensive process.

Just wanted to let you know You were right I took it to a workshop and they found a defective cable connection. They repaired the connection for 95€ and the suspension is working again. Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction
