CLA Hybrid Indicator Light Problem

My 2023 Mercedes CLA hybrid has a strange indicator light problem. An error is stored, and a message appears on the speedometer about a fault in the lighting system. I think it might be a defective turn signal, but the bulb is good. Any ideas before I bring it in?

That sounds familiar. I had a similar indicator light issue with my CLA. The error message was annoying. I thought it was a broken lens, but it looked fine. Did you check the connections? It could be an electrical fault.

When you say connections, do you mean the plug going into the indicator light housing, or further up the wiring? I'm not sure where to start. What was the cause of the electrical fault in your car?

I mean the plug and wiring at the indicator light. I fiddled with it, but electrical stuff is not my strength. I took it to a workshop. They said it was a bad connection. It's probably best to get it checked out to avoid headaches.

Thanks for the advice. I took it in, and you were right. It was a bad cable or plug connection. The repair was 95€, so at least it wasn't a major issue.
