CLA Tailgate Hall Sensor Issue

My 2014 Mercedes CLA with a gasoline engine, around 166946 km, has an error for the tailgate hall sensor. The tailgate isn't fully opening. Could a bad cable or plug be the problem?

That sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Audi A4. The electrical sensor controlling the trunk wouldn't trigger properly. Have you checked the sensor calibration?

Thanks for the input. Can you explain what you mean by 'sensor calibration'? Can I do this myself, or do I need special equipment?

On my Audi, the trunk motor had a specific sensor calibration procedure. I couldn't do it myself. I recommend a workshop visit. It could save time and more problems. The repair was around 100€

I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a workshop for a look. The estimated repair is around 95€. I think the hall sensor needs attention, or maybe just a cable reconnection. Thanks again.
