Could you elaborate on the specific location of the wiring harness you inspected on your XC60? I want to perform a thorough diagnostic assessment, and details regarding potential points of failure would be helpful.

Sure thing. Honestly, I didn't get too deep into it myself. I poked around a bit near the hood latch mechanism where I thought the sensors might be, but I'm no mechanic. Eventually, I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out, said something about a faulty sensor and a loose connection. Best of luck!

Based on your experience and my assessment, I will proceed with evaluating the sensor and wiring. Given the complexity and safety implications, I agree that a professional diagnosis and repair are warranted. The estimated repair cost is 315€.

Interesting. I had something similar happen with my 2017 Volvo XC60. Got some warnings about pedestrian protection malfunction and the dashboard lit up. Did you check the wiring harness to the impact sensors? Sometimes a loose connection can cause phantom errors.
