Clarity start stop malfunction

I'm having trouble with my 2020 Honda Clarity hybrid. It's got just under 27500 km on the clock. The start-stop system has stopped working. I'm getting an error stored in the memory, the engine shuts off as expected, but the warning light is on in the speedometer. I'm suspecting a heavily discharged or defective battery. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I have a Clarity too. Sounds like your idle stop battery. Had the same symptoms.

Interesting. Did you also get the error light in the dash? Was it definitely the battery causing the issue? I'm just trying to narrow it down before I start replacing parts.

Yes, error light too. Best to take it to a workshop, they can confirm the battery's health.

I appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on - the battery was defective. New battery installed and the system is now working as expected. Total cost was 290€.
