Interesting. Did you also get the error light in the dash? Was it definitely the battery causing the issue? I'm just trying to narrow it down before I start replacing parts.

Yes, error light too. Best to take it to a workshop, they can confirm the battery's health.

I appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on - the battery was defective. New battery installed and the system is now working as expected. Total cost was 290€.

I have a Clarity too. Sounds like your idle stop battery. Had the same symptoms.
