Clio AC Not Switching On

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my 2001 Renault Clio diesel. The air conditioning system just doesn't want to switch on anymore. It was working fine, but now it's like it's completely dead. I've checked the fuses, and they seem okay. The error memory stores an undervoltage error. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Clio! The air conditioning suddenly stopped cooling, and it turned out to be a faulty relay switch for the A/C compressor. Have you checked that? It's like a tiny gatekeeper, if it's not doing its job, the compressor won't get the signal to kick in.

It should be in the engine compartment, usually near the fuse box. Check your car's manual; it will show the exact location. But if you're unsure, it might be best to visit a workshop. A broken relay is not always the reason for the A/C compressor shut off. There are other reasons, such as the belt tensioner or the pressure sensor. And the refrigerant level should also be checked.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were right, it was the relay switch! Also, the belt tensioner was defective. All in all, the repair cost was 240€. Really appreciate the help!
