Clio Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Error

Help! My 2005 Renault Clio diesel is driving me nuts. I'm getting a brake booster pressure sensor error on the dash, and the braking is awful. I've got 161781 km on the clock. It feels like the brakes aren't working properly, and there's an error stored when I plug in diagnostic tools. Anyone seen this before?

I had something similar on my Clio. Is the brake pedal feeling hard, almost like there's no servo assistance? It sounds like air in the system – probably bled incorrectly at some point.

Yeah, the brake pedal is rock solid! So, you think it's definitely an air issue and not the sensor itself? Any idea how much that set you back?

Pretty sure. The hard pedal and the error code point to it. I'd get it checked by a garage, especially with brakes involved. Could be dangerous. In my case, a proper bleed sorted it right out.

Thanks! Took it to a workshop, and you were spot on – badly bled brakes. New sensor wasn't needed! Cost me 90€ for the bleed. Appreciate the advice; you saved me a fortune!
