Clio Brake Fluid Loss
Summary of the thread
The owner of a 2018 Renault Clio experienced a drop in brake fluid level and an unusual brake pedal feel, suspecting it might be due to worn brakes. A similar past issue with another vehicle suggested checking for leaks or worn brakes. Upon professional inspection, the problem was confirmed to be worn front brakes, which were resolved with a full replacement and fluid change.

I haven't noticed any visible leaks. What was the cause in your case?

Turned out my front brakes were worn beyond belief. It was like trying to stop a train with a bicycle brake. I'd suggest getting it checked out by a professional. New pads and fluid replacement sorted it out.

Thank you for the advice. I took it to the shop. The front brakes were indeed worn. A full replacement and fluid change cost me 480€. Issue solved.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel astra some years ago. The brake pedal felt spongy. Any signs of leaks around the master cylinder or calipers?
