Clio Camshaft Sensor Issue

My 2021 Renault Clio hybrid is playing up! 208159 km on the clock and it's starting rough, feels like I'm towing a caravan uphill, and the computer's throwing an error. Suspect it's the camshaft sensor, maybe a dodgy connection. Anyone else had this?

I had a similar issue with my Clio, although it wasn't the hybrid version. Same symptoms though – rough starting and a noticeable drop in power. Did you check the sensor's wiring and plug connection yourself?

Yeah, had a quick look. Everything seems okay, nothing obviously loose or corroded. But where exactly is the camshaft sensor located? And did your issue definitely turn out to be the sensor?

On mine, the sensor was near the top of the engine, fairly easy to spot once you knew what you were looking for. Yes, the garage confirmed it was the camshaft sensor. Honestly, unless you're really confident with electrics, I'd get it checked by a professional. It could save you a lot of hassle.

Appreciate the advice! Took it to the garage. You were spot on, camshaft sensor! Cable or plug connection was defective. 95€ and she's running sweet again!
