Clio Hybrid Start Stop Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Renault Clio Hybrid is experiencing a start-stop system failure, with an error in the memory and occasional engine shutdowns accompanied by a warning light. The issue is suspected to be related to a bad or drained battery, particularly as it occurs more frequently on short trips and in cold weather. A similar case was resolved by diagnosing and replacing a faulty battery, suggesting that checking and potentially replacing the battery could be a viable solution.

Thanks, that describes my problem exactly. It does happen more on short trips and in the cold. Did replacing the battery fix it for you?

Charging the battery helped for a bit, but the problem came back. I had it diagnosed, and it was a faulty battery that needed replacing. I'd suggest getting your battery checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the advice! I'll take my Clio to a workshop. They also suspect the battery and quoted 290€ for repairs. I'll post what happens after the repair.

I also drive a Clio and had a similar start-stop issue. Did it happen more on short trips, especially in cold weather? Sounds like an electrical problem, like how phone batteries drain faster with GPS.
