Clio keyless entry malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Renault Clio Hybrid owner experienced a malfunction with the keyless entry system, receiving an error code related to the door handle electronics. A similar issue in another vehicle suggested that the problem might be due to faulty cable or plug connections within the door. Thanks. When you say cable and plug connections, are these easily accessible, or would this require specialized tools and knowledge to inspect? I'm not particularly experienced in automotive electrical systems.

In my case with the Astra, accessing the connections required removing the door panel. Unless you're comfortable with that, I would suggest taking it to a workshop. The error memory reads suggest a cable or plug issue, and the repair bill should be around 95€.

I appreciate the advice. I took the Clio to a local service center, and the technicians confirmed a defective plug connection within the door. The repair cost was precisely as you estimated. Thanks again!

I had a similar problem with my 2018 Opel Astra. The keyless entry stopped working on the driver's side. It could be a faulty connection in the door. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the door handle? A defective cable or plug connection of the component is a likely cause.
