Clio Lights Going Haywire
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Renault Clio is experiencing erratic behavior with its lights, turning on and off unexpectedly. An error code points to the light switch, and initial checks of wires and the fuse box haven't resolved the issue. A suggestion to inspect the plug connection to the light switch leads to the discovery of a faulty connection, which is confirmed and fixed by a workshop, resolving the problem.

You mean the actual plug that goes into the back of the light switch? How did you even get to it? Did you have to pull the whole steering wheel apart?

Yeah, that's the one. I didn't have to go that far; it was more of a tight squeeze and some fiddling with plastic trim. Honestly, though, my Corsa was a simpler beast, so your Clio might be different. If you're not comfortable digging that deep, probably best to get a workshop to check the wiring and switch. Could be a defective switch too.

Took your advice and brought it to the shop. Turns out it was a dodgy connection in the plug like you said. Cost me 95€ to fix, but at least the disco lights are gone! Thanks for the tip!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar thing happen with my old Opel Corsa. The tail lights were doing the same crazy dance. Have you checked the plug connection to the switch itself? That was the culprit for me.
