Clio Oil Pressure and Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Renault Clio diesel with 247,749 km is experiencing a warning light and error code, with intermittent oil pressure light activation. The issue may be related to the engine oil temperature sensor, potentially due to a bad cable or plug. Checking the sensor's wiring for damage or corrosion and monitoring the oil temperature with an OBD-II scanner are suggested steps. If the problem persists, consulting a workshop is advised, as low oil pressure can be dangerous.

Thanks. I checked the wiring and connector, but didn't see anything obvious. With the OBD-II scanner, what parameter should I watch, and what's a bad reading?

If the wiring looks okay, and the oil pressure light is on too, get it checked at a workshop. The oil temp sensor might be misleading, and low oil pressure is dangerous. Don't drive it much until it's fixed. In my case, it was the temp sensor, and the garage found a faulty connection.

Thanks for the advice. I'm booking a mechanic. Just so you know, the repair cost 95€.

I had something similar with my Clio, though I don't remember the code. Your symptoms sound familiar. Did you check the sensor's wiring for damage or corrosion? Are you monitoring the oil temperature with an OBD-II scanner to see what the sensor is reporting?
