Clio Oxygen Sensor Heater Error
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Renault Clio hybrid exhibited a check engine light with an error related to the oxygen sensor heater circuit, leading to increased fuel consumption. The issue was suspected to be either a faulty sensor or a bad connection. Upon inspection, a worn cable to the oxygen sensor was identified as the problem. Replacing the faulty cable and plug resolved the issue, turning off the check engine light and restoring normal vehicle performance.

Thanks! I'm not very technical. Could you explain what I should look for when checking the cable and plug? What kind of damage or disconnect should I look for?

Basically, see if the wires are frayed or broken near the plug. And check if the plug is firmly connected to the sensor. If it all looks good, the sensor might be faulty. You could try testing it, but honestly, that's a job for a workshop.

The cable to the oxygen sensor was worn, just like you said. A local workshop replaced the faulty cable and plug for 95€. The check engine light is off, and the Clio is running well again. Thanks!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my old car! Check that the sensor's cable and plug are in good shape. Sometimes they can get loose or corroded. Is it just the light, or are you noticing any rough idling or anything?
