Clio rain light sensor malfunction

Anyone else have rain-light sensor issues on their 2023 Renault Clio Hybrid? Mileage is at 56248 km. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, no automatic wiping in the rain, no auto headlight control, speedometer dimming is not working, and the lights keep switching on. Is this some kind of sick joke?

I've got a Clio too (newer), and that sounds painfully familiar! You wouldn't believe the headache I had with a similar problem. So frustrating, isn't it? Is it constantly doing it, or does it come and go? Have you tried anything yet, like disconnecting the battery?

Disconnecting the battery is the first thing I tried, alas, didn't work. It's constantly present. Did yours present with the exact same symptoms? Did you ever figure out what triggered it?

Yep, same symptoms exactly. Ultimately, I never figured out the root cause myself. Took it to a trusted workshop, and they sorted it out. Honestly, with electronics these days, it's beyond me. Best bet is to get it checked by professionals before you start tearing things apart.

Thanks for confirming, I appreciate the insight. I've read about bubbles forming under the windshield's gel pad affecting the sensor. I'll take it to a workshop; the estimate is 62€. Hopefully that will fix it.
