Clio System Readiness Error

I have a 2003 Renault Clio with a diesel engine, and I'm pulling my hair out. I've got this 'System readiness check incomplete' error showing up. It's stored in the error memory, and the speedometer is displaying an error message too. I recently used an OBD2 diagnostics tool. Could this be the cause?

Sounds familiar! I've got a Clio too, although not the same year. I had a similar issue after a diagnostic readout. Did you happen to clear any error codes after the readout? Sometimes that can mess with the readiness monitors.

Yeah, I did clear the codes after the readout. So that's the issue? Is there a way to fix the issue by myself?

That's most likely the culprit. Clearing the codes resets the readiness monitors, and they need to run through their cycles before the system considers itself 'ready'. Unfortunately I couldn't fix it myself. I suggest you go to your workshop and they will do a vehicle inspection.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to the garage, they did a full vehicle inspection, turns out the system just needed to complete a drive cycle after the error clearing. It did cost 0€, and the error is gone. I appreciate the help!
