Clio turn signal error
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Renault Clio is experiencing a turn signal lamp error, specifically on the left side, with a message displayed on the speedometer and a general fault in the lighting system. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a dodgy connection, and it is recommended to take the car to a workshop for repair to avoid further electrical complications.

It's just the left turn signal lamp. Brake lights and headlights are fine. What symptoms did you have?

Ah, the left turn signal... Sounds familiar. Mine did the same – error message popping up randomly, and sometimes the signal wouldn't blink. Turned out to be a dodgy connection, like you suspect. Honestly, I'd just take it to a workshop. Electrics can be a pain, and you don't want to short something.

Thanks. Given your experience and the potential complexity, I'll take it to a workshop. The estimated repair cost is 95€.

Hey! I had something similar on my Clio. Was a pain. Is it just one side, or both? When you say 'error in the lighting system,' is anything else affected, like brake lights or headlights?
