The horn still works. Could you elaborate on the sensor issue? Did you resolve it yourself, or was it a workshop job?

I did not resolve the issue myself. It appeared that the electrical fault was more complex than I initially thought. I took my CLK to a workshop where the connection cable in the steering wheel was identified as defective and replaced. I would recommend visiting a workshop.

Thanks for the insight. I took it to a workshop as suggested. The cable connection in the steering wheel was indeed defective. Repair cost 95€. It's all sorted now.

That sounds frustrating! I have a CLK as well, and I experienced something similar last year. It turned out to be a sensor issue within the steering wheel control module. Was there any disruption before the fault occurred? Does the horn still work?
