CLK turn signal malfunction

My 2010 Mercedes CLK diesel has a turn indicator issue. An error is stored in memory, with a message on the speedometer, and a fault in the turn signal lighting. At 106329 km, I suspect a cable or plug defect. Has anyone seen this? I estimate a 95€ repair cost.

I drive a CLK and had a similar turn signal issue last year. Your symptoms sound familiar. Have you checked the flasher relay? A faulty relay can cause intermittent turn indicator problems. Check it before chasing wiring issues.

Thanks for the insight. Could you elaborate on the flasher relay's location in the vehicle's electrical system? A precise indication would be appreciated, as I'm not familiar with the CLK's wiring.

I'm not sure of the exact location on your 2010 model. Consult the owner's manual or a wiring diagram for your vehicle's year and engine. Given the error messages and lighting fault, it sounds like an electrical fault. I took mine to a workshop. They replaced a broken lens and fixed a loose connection, which solved my problem.

I appreciate your assistance. I'll investigate the wiring diagrams. I suspect a qualified workshop visit may be best. The diagnosis aligned with the suspected cause: a defective plug connection. The repair, parts and labor included, was 95€, resolving the turn signal issue.
