CMAX AC Temperature Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Ford CMAX diesel is experiencing an error related to a defective temperature sensor for the heat exchanger, causing the AC to not function. The issue is suspected to be related to the AC control unit rather than the sensor itself. A similar problem in another vehicle was resolved by replacing the faulty AC control unit. Following this advice, the problem was diagnosed and fixed by replacing the AC control unit.

Thanks! The engine temp seems normal. It's mainly the AC not working and the error messages. What was the fix for your Renault Megane?

Okay, no overheating. With my Megane, they first replaced the temp sensor, but it didn't fix it. The shop then found a bad AC control unit and replaced that. Sounds like your Ford CMAX has the same problem. Considering the symptoms and error codes, get the control unit checked. They should diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a shop, and it was a bad AC control unit. The repair was 980€. Your input helped guide the diagnosis.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar thing with my old Renault Megane, though not exactly the same. Error codes pointed to a sensor, but it was a faulty control module. Is the engine overheating, or just the AC affected? Think of it like a fuse box; sometimes it's not the appliance, but the wiring.
