Thanks for the quick reply! The error code was somewhat generic, pointing to a malfunction in the emergency call system module itself. I'm not sure which cable or plug is most likely to cause this. I would hate to start taking apart the dashboard unnecessarily. Is there any specific area where the connections are known to be problematic?

Unfortunately, I don't know the exact location. In my case, the fault was diagnosed and repaired by a workshop. A defective cable or plug connection was listed in the report as the likely culprit. I'd suggest having it checked by a professional. It will likely be much faster and might save you some effort. In my case, the repair cost about 95€

Thanks for the advice. Based on your experience, I will probably take it to a workshop to have it properly diagnosed. The cost of 95€ is acceptable. I appreciate you confirming that this issue is not uncommon and that a connection problem is indeed a likely cause.

I had a similar problem on my CMAX. Same symptoms: error message, warning light... I was told it could be a connection issue too. Did the error code give you any clues about the specific component at fault? That might help narrow down where to look for the bad connection.
