Cobalt Brake Booster Sensor Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Chevrolet Cobalt experienced a brake booster pressure sensor failure, indicated by an error message, decreased braking, and an error code. The issue arose after the brake system was recently bled, suggesting that an incorrect bleeding procedure might be the cause. A diagnostic assessment confirmed the sensor failure and improper bleeding, leading to a repair that included sensor replacement and correct bleeding.

Yes, the ABS light came on with the error message. The brake pedal feels less responsive, not spongy. Does that sound like your issue?

Yep, sounds almost identical. Mine ended up being a dodgy sensor after the brake lines were flushed. Honestly, just take it to a reputable workshop with the right diagnostic tools. Seems like you’ve already got a good handle on what might be wrong.

I had the car inspected. The diagnostic assessment confirmed the brake booster pressure sensor failure and the suspected incorrect bleeding procedure. The repair, including the sensor replacement and proper bleeding, was 90€.

I think I had something similar happen with my Cobalt. Was the ABS light also on, or just the error message? Did the brakes feel soft or just less responsive?
