Cobalt MOST Bus Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Chevrolet Cobalt is experiencing a complete failure of its audio and navigation system, accompanied by a MOST bus fault error. The issue may be caused by a faulty control unit on the MOST bus, which is essential for data transmission between system components. While fuses have been checked and found to be in working order, diagnosing the specific faulty control unit requires specialized equipment. It is recommended to take the vehicle to a professional workshop for proper diagnosis and repair.

Thanks, I already checked the fuses, and they're fine. Can I diagnose which control unit is bad without special equipment, or is it best to take it to a pro?

Since you checked the fuses and still get the MOST bus fault, take it to a workshop. Diagnosing a faulty control unit in the MOST bus needs specialized tools to read the data. It's beyond my abilities, and maybe yours too. Could cost you 1000€ if they replace a unit.

Thanks for the advice. A workshop is the way to go. I'll schedule an appointment to diagnose it.

That sounds tricky! I'm no expert, but a MOST bus fault could knock out your whole audio and navigation. They rely on that bus for data. Are you sure the fuses are good? Check those first.
