Colorado BUS System Errors

Alright, I'm at my wit's end. I've got a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado with the diesel engine, and it's been throwing some seriously weird errors. We're talking sporadic errors in driving mode, lights popping on and off, audio cutting out, navigation going haywire, the whole shebang! Sometimes, systems just shut down completely or become totally unresponsive. The error memory is filling up with codes. It's only got 27419 km on the clock. Has anyone else seen anything like this? Any ideas before I lose it completely?

Summary of the thread

A 2021 Chevrolet Colorado was experiencing sporadic errors, including issues with driving mode, lights, audio, and navigation, with systems sometimes shutting down or becoming unresponsive. The problem was identified as a defective cable connection to the BUS system, causing these erratic behaviors. The solution involved tightening the loose cable connection, which resolved the issues and restored normal functionality.

This sounds like a potential BUS system issue. Are you experiencing any difficulties starting the vehicle or noticing any changes in engine performance when these errors occur? Have you attempted to read the OBD-II codes yourself to get a clearer understanding of the specific errors being logged?

Starting is fine, and the engine seems to run normally, even when the errors pop up. I've pulled the codes, and there's a whole mix of them related to various control units. But they seem unrelated to each other, you know? That's why I'm so confused. What exactly do you mean by a BUS system issue?

Given the symptoms and the range of seemingly unrelated errors, a defective cable connection to the BUS system is quite plausible. This could manifest as temporary shutdowns or unresponsive control units, explaining the sporadic behavior. I would suggest bringing it to a trusted workshop for a diagnostic, since you cannot fix the issue yourself.

Thanks for the insight! I took it to the shop, and you nailed it – a loose cable connection to the BUS system was the culprit. They tightened it up, cleared the codes, and everything seems to be running smoothly now. Cost me 155€, but worth it for the peace of mind. Appreciate the help!
