Colorado Rail Pressure Sensor Issue

I'm having a weird issue with my 2022 Chevrolet Colorado with a gasoline engine. I've got 249854 km on it and the check engine light came on. I've noticed it sometimes stalls at idle and has reduced engine power. I pulled the code and it's showing a faulty rail pressure sensor signal. Anyone else experience this?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Chevrolet Colorado with a gasoline engine experienced issues with stalling at idle and reduced engine power, accompanied by a check engine light. The diagnostic code indicated a faulty rail pressure sensor signal. The problem was intermittent, and after confirming the sensor was faulty, it was replaced at a workshop, resolving the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had something similar happen on my Colorado. Check engine light, stalling... drove me nuts! Was it intermittent, or pretty constant? What did the diagnostics say exactly? Could be fuel injection related.

It's pretty intermittent. Sometimes it runs fine, other times it acts up. The code specifically points to the rail pressure sensor. Did yours throw the same code, and was it definitely the sensor?

Yep, same code. I tried cleaning the sensor connector first, but that didn't fix it. Honestly, after chasing it for a bit, I just took it to a workshop. They confirmed the sensor was bad. It's not worth messing with the fuel injection system yourself unless you really know what you're doing. It's a high pressure system.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a shop and you were right, it was the rail pressure sensor. Cost me 240€ to get it replaced. Runs like new now!
