Corolla brake pedal feedback issue

Thanks for the suggestions! No other electrical issues that I've noticed, thankfully. The battery seems strong, and the car starts fine. But the brake pedal feel is definitely off. When you mentioned electronic components in the brake system, what sort of malfunctions should I be wary of?

Well, if undervoltage is indeed the culprit, it could cause erratic behavior in the ABS module, leading to that strange pedal feedback. It's also possible that low voltage could affect the brake assist system, if your Corolla has one. Since you're not experiencing other electrical problems, the issue might be isolated to the brake system itself, but I'd advise getting it checked out by a professional. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to brakes! They will be able to tell you if it's the disc brakes, the brake rotors, or even the brake pads.

Appreciate the insights. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the issue and replaced some components related to the brake system. Cost me around 240€. All good now!

Interesting issue! I've encountered similar brake weirdness before, though not specifically on a Corolla. Undervoltage can definitely mess with a car's electrical systems, and since modern brake systems often have electronic components (especially ABS and stability control), it's plausible. It might be worth checking your battery's health and the alternator's output first, just to rule out any obvious electrical problems. Are you experiencing any other electrical issues, like dimming lights or slow starting? Also, when was the last time you had your disc brakes and hydraulic brakes inspected?
