Corolla Defrost Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Toyota Corolla owner is experiencing issues with the climate control system, specifically the defrost function, which is accompanied by an error code and reduced heating. The problem may be related to the defrost air distribution flap or a defective cable/plug. A suggestion was made to check the connections to the flap motor, as a similar issue was resolved by fixing a loose connection. The owner plans to consult a professional for further diagnosis and repair.

Thanks! Could you be more specific about the location of the connections and what to look for? Were your symptoms the same, and did you fix it yourself?

Yeah, mine was blowing cold air sometimes, especially on the defrost. I didn't solve it myself, tbh. Took it to a workshop. They said it was a loose connection or something like that. Just take it to a professional.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll probably take it to a trusted workshop. Hopefully, it's just a simple connection problem; the mechanic estimated around 95€ to fix the connection. Thanks again!

Hey, I have a Corolla too and had similar issues with the heater not blowing hot enough. Check the connections to the flap motor. Could be something simple.
