Corolla Fuel Pressure Sensor Issue

I've got a 2022 Toyota Corolla hybrid with about 43930 km on it. Recently, the check engine light came on, and the engine's been running rough. It sometimes stalls when idling, and there's some jerking when accelerating. I checked the OBD codes, and it points to a defective fuel pressure sensor. Could it be a bad connection?

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my old 2018 Opel Insignia. Same error code. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the sensor?

Yeah, I visually inspected the connector, but didn't see anything obvious. What exactly should I be looking for? Could a slightly loose connection really cause all these issues?

A loose or corroded connection can definitely cause those issues. My problem was corrosion inside the plug. Best get it checked in a workshop, they can test the sensor and wiring.

Thanks for the insight! Took it to a workshop, and you were spot on - corroded connector. They cleaned it up, and replaced the sensor, all for 95€. Runs like new now!
