Corolla Headlight Range Problem

My 2013 Toyota Corolla with a gasoline engine has a weird headlight issue. Error stored, warning light on, and the low beam is either too high or too low. 187550 km on the odometer. Suspect the servomotor, but anyone seen this?

Sounds familiar. Is the beam adjustment automatic, or did you mess with the headlight switch or control module?

The beam adjusts automatically, and I haven't touched the switch. Could a faulty auto-leveling sensor cause this before I replace the servomotor?

Auto-leveling sensor issues are possible, but the servomotor is usually the problem. Given the error codes, I’d still guess the motor. But get it checked before you start buying parts.

Took it to my mechanic, and it was a defective servomotor. Total cost was 1040€. Thanks for confirming my suspicions!
