Thanks for the info. I'll check the throttle body and manifold pressure. Was your problem specifically related to the air valve, or something else causing the vacuum leak?

Yeah, come to think of it, I believe the shop confirmed it was related to the air valve system. If I remember correctly, it had something to do with the air being sucked in the wrong direction. Eventually took it to a workshop. The mechanic knew exactly what to look for!

Thanks! I appreciate you confirming. Took it to the shop - you were spot on. Defective hose. Repair cost 175€. All fixed now.

I had a similar issue on my Corolla, though mine is not a hybrid. Check engine light kept popping up. I poked around a bit and found what seemed like a small vacuum leak around the throttle body area. Have you inspected the manifold pressure?
