Corolla Hybrid Overheating

My 2023 Toyota Corolla hybrid is showing signs of overheating. It has 113754 km on it. The check engine light is also on. Suspect it might be a defective radiator fan possibly due to a speed sensor malfunction, any thoughts?

That sounds familiar! I had similar overheating issues with my old 2014 Opel Astra. Is the temperature gauge going way into the red? Have you checked the coolant level by any chance?

Yes, the temperature gauge climbs pretty high. Coolant level seems fine. Was your issue also related to the fan not kicking in when it should?

Exactly! The fan was barely spinning, and it would overheat, especially in traffic. I tried looking at the thermal switch but in the end I just brought the Astra to a workshop. Turns out the sensor caused it. Hopefully it's straightforward for you, too.

Appreciate the insight. Turns out the speed sensor was indeed the culprit with the radiator fan. Cost me 250€ to repair. Thanks!
