Corolla Oil Level Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Toyota Corolla with a diesel engine is experiencing an error message and warning lights related to a faulty oil level sensor signal. The issue is suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection. It is suggested to check the sensor connector for cleanliness and proper seating, as wiring issues are more common than sensor faults. The problem was confirmed to be a faulty connection, which was repaired at a workshop.

The error is always present. Where exactly is the oil level sensor located on the 2003 diesel Corolla?

It's usually on the lower part of the oil pan. Given that the error is constant, and you suspect the wiring, a visit to a workshop might be a good idea. Could be more than just a loose connection.

Thanks for the advice. Ended up being a faulty connection as initially suspected. Workshop confirmed and repaired it. Cost me 95€.

I had a similar issue with my Corolla. Is the error intermittent, or is it always present? I'd check the sensor connector first, make sure it's clean and properly seated. Could also be a faulty sensor, but wiring is more common.
