Corolla tire pressure sensor fault

I own a 2001 Toyota Corolla with a diesel engine and I'm encountering a tire pressure sensor fault. The system indicates that the tire pressure is too low. An error message is displayed, and an error is stored in the error memory. I've already checked the valve, tire pressure, and the air pressure in all tires, but the error persists. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue?

Hey, I drive a Corolla too. Your issue sounds a lot like what I had last year. If the tire check comes up clear, your tire pressure sensor might be acting up. Basically, each tire has a sensor to tell you the PSI in the tires. Think of it like a smoke detector needing a new battery. Same with the tire, those things don't last forever. Have you checked the sensors themselves?

Thank you for your response. How did you resolve your issue?

In my case, it turned out that the sensor battery was empty, which seems to be a common issue. I'd suggest going to the nearest workshop if you are not sure. Maybe they can run a diagnostic and replace the sensor or battery. It cost me around 280€, but it solved the issue right away, and the error message disappeared.

I appreciate the insight; I'll have it checked at the workshop. Thank you!
