Corsa audio system unresponsive
Summary of the thread
The 2001 Vauxhall Corsa's audio system is unresponsive, with an error stored, possibly due to defective dashboard controls or display unit. Potential causes include faulty wiring, defective display, or power supply issues. Suggested solutions include inspecting the main power connector, ground connections, and checking for speaker damage. A workshop check is recommended to confirm the display defect and proceed with repairs.

Thanks. Any specific points to focus on when inspecting the wiring?

In my case, the power supply to the display was the problem. Inspect the main power connector and ground connections. Given the error memory and unresponsive system, it sounds like the display is defective. I'd suggest a workshop check.

Understood. I'll take it to a workshop. Seems the display is defective; the repair will be 725€.

I had a similar issue with my 2012 Skoda Octavia. The entire head unit died, and it was a defective display unit. Have you checked for faulty wiring behind the unit or speaker crackle? Inspect the car speakers for damage too.
