Corsa boost pressure sensor issue

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the connections, but didn't see any damage to the sensor itself. Where exactly is the boost pressure sensor located on the Corsa? Maybe I missed something. Also, by 'tight' do you mean just visually, or is there a specific torque I should be aiming for?

The boost pressure sensor is typically located on the intake manifold or the intercooler piping, somewhere between the turbocharger and the engine's intake. It can sometimes be difficult to spot. By 'tight', I mean physically secure. While there may be a specific torque setting, it's more important to ensure it's not loose or wobbly. Given you've checked the connections and found no obvious damage, I'd err on the side of caution and take it to a workshop. It's possible the sensor is internally failing, or the issue could be elsewhere in the turbo system. Better to get a proper diagnosis before throwing parts at it.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a reputable workshop and it was indeed the boost pressure sensor. Turns out it was the cable connection that was defective, as I suspected. Total repair cost came to 95€. Running like new again!

I have a Vauxhall Corsa myself. Your symptoms do indeed point towards a faulty boost pressure sensor. The 'jerking' is likely caused by the ECU attempting to compensate for incorrect readings from the sensor, resulting in erratic fuel delivery and ignition timing. The whistling or hissing sounds corroborate a pressure leak, since the sensor provides data used to regulate turbo boost. Have you checked for any physical damage to the sensor itself or the surrounding hoses? Confirm all the connections are tight and free of corrosion.
