It's pretty constant, yeah. Comes on with the ignition. Pressing the pedal doesn't seem to make a difference.

Given the persistent nature of the fault and the lack of response to brake pedal actuation, a defective brake light switch emerges as a highly probable cause. While a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation would offer definitive confirmation, the aforementioned symptoms strongly align with a failing switch. It is advisable to consult a qualified technician for verification and subsequent rectification.

Thanks. Turns out my foot was resting on the brake pedal ever so slightly. Reset the error, all good. No cost!

Greetings. The symptoms you describe suggest a potential malfunction within the vehicle's brake system, possibly linked to the brake light switch. Before venturing further, could you elucidate the circumstances under which this issue manifests? Specifically, does the error occur intermittently, or is it a constant presence? Have you observed any correlation between the application of the brake pedal and the activation of the error message?
