Corsa charge air temperature sensor error

I've got a 2017 Vauxhall Corsa, gasoline engine, and lately it's been acting up. The check engine light is on and the power is seriously reduced. Also, I'm hearing a whistling noise, almost a loud hissing when I accelerate. I scanned it and it shows a charge air temperature sensor error. Mileage is at 72231 km. Could it be a defective cable or plug connection? Anyone else had this happen?

Hey there, I think I had something similar happen in my Corsa – though I can't recall the exact error code. If I remember correctly it was also something to do with air temperature? Was it fluctuating wildly or just giving a flat reading?

Yeah, the error is about the charge air temperature sensor. I didn't notice any specific temperature fluctuation while driving or idling, only the symptoms I mentioned before plus error stored in the error memory. Was your problem exactly the same? Did you have the hissing sound as well?

Ah, hissing sounds familiar! Yeah, sounds like the same issue. I'd suggest you get it checked out by a workshop; it might be a defective cable or plug connection as you mentioned. They should be able to diagnose it properly.
