Corsa check engine light fuel consumption

My 2016 Vauxhall Corsa (gasoline engine) is acting up. The check engine light is on, and I'm burning way more fuel than usual. Mileage is at 180599 km. Could it be the VANOS?

I had a similar issue with my Corsa, though I don't remember the exact error codes. When the check engine light illuminated, it indicated an issue with the inlet camshaft. Have you noticed any engine misfire or a reduction in engine power? These symptoms often accompany VANOS-related problems.

Yeah, I think the power isn't quite what it used to be. What did you end up doing about it?

Based on your description, it seems highly probable that the defect lies within one of the camshaft solenoid valves or a disruption in the power supply to the VANOS system. Given the potential complexity, I would recommend consulting a qualified mechanic for a precise diagnosis and repair. My repair cost around 250€.

Thanks a bunch! I'll get it checked out ASAP. Seems like it might be the VANOS after all. I'll post what the solution is when it's fixed.
