Corsa Check Engine Light Hose Issue

My 2013 Vauxhall Corsa (gasoline engine) is showing a check engine light at 181162 km. Suspect it's the air valve. Could a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve be the cause?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar thing with my Corsa. Check all your vacuum hoses, especially near the throttle body. A vacuum leak can cause all sorts of issues. Is the engine stalling at all?

No stalling, just the check engine light. Was it definitely a hose problem for you, or something else with the air valve itself?

Yeah, it was a split vacuum hose causing a leak. Worth checking them thoroughly, but honestly, with those symptoms, a workshop visit might be best. They'll diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to the shop; you were right, hose connection from pump to valve was indeed defective. Repair cost 175€. All sorted now.
