Corsa climate control failure

Hi, I have a 2006 Vauxhall Corsa diesel. My automatic climate control has stopped working. The error memory has an error stored, and the air conditioning won't switch on at all. Diagnostics point to a faulty interior temperature sensor. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this before?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Corsa. The climate control went haywire. Although my Corsa is a different year, the issue sounds identical. Does the temperature fluctuate wildly, or is it just completely dead? It might be a sensor issue or, like you mentioned, a connection problem. I'd start by checking the wiring.

Thanks for the quick reply! No fluctuations, it's completely dead. Where exactly did you find the temperature sensor connection on your Corsa? Was it easy to access?

Okay, completely dead is definitely a problem. Honestly, I didn't manage to fix it myself. I ended up taking it to a workshop, as I didn't want to mess with the AC system myself. It was the best choice. They identified the defective cable and after repair the interior temperature sensor worked perfectly. The repair cost me 95€ at the time. They sorted it out pretty quickly.

Thanks for the info! Seems like a trip to the workshop is in order. I appreciate you sharing your experience.
