Corsa Crankshaft Camshaft Reference Value Error

I haven't noticed any unusual noises, so I'm hoping the timing belt itself is still okay. I'm using a standard OBD2 reader, nothing fancy. It points directly to that reference value error. Regarding your sensor suggestion: Could a failing crank sensor really cause all those symptoms at once, or am I barking up the wrong tree? What makes you think it's likely the crank sensor?

Okay, good, no nasty noises! A faulty crank sensor can definitely mess things up. It tells the ECU where the crankshaft is, and if that signal is wonky, the ECU can't properly time the ignition and fuel injection. Reduced power, poor response, increased fuel... it all fits. Honestly, with those symptoms and the error code, I'd put money on the crank sensor being the culprit. You could try testing it with a multimeter, but those things are a pain. Probably best to just take it to a shop and have them confirm. They can probably diagnose it quickly.

Appreciate the input! I was hoping it wouldn't be the sensor, but it seems that's the most probable cause. Took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a defective crankshaft sensor. New sensor installed and all error messages gone. Final cost was 340€ Thanks again!

That sounds rough! I had similar symptoms once, but on a different car. 'Crankshaft to Camshaft Reference Value'… isn't that usually a sensor thing? If the timing belt was off, wouldn't you hear some gnarly noises? Are you sure the belt hasn't jumped a tooth? What kind of diagnostic tool are you using to read the error code?
