Corsa cruise control malfunction

Hi, I have a 2004 Vauxhall Corsa with a gasoline engine and about 21409 km on the clock. Recently, the cruise control stopped working. The cruise control does not engage, and there's an error stored in the error memory. I've checked the fuse box, but all fuses seem fine. Any ideas?

I also own a Corsa. I had a similar problem a while back. Has your brake light been acting strangely, or have you noticed any issues with the pedals? Sometimes, a faulty brake light switch or pedal switch can cause the cruise control to disengage and throw an error. It might be worth checking those before digging deeper.

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't noticed anything strange with the brake lights. Where exactly is the pedal switch located, and is there a way to test it without special equipment?

The pedal switch is usually located near the top of the pedal, where it connects to the master cylinder. Without proper diagnostic tools, it is difficult to test the functionality. Given that you've already checked the fuses, and the issue persists with an error code logged, a defective cable or plug connection might be the culprit. A workshop visit might be necessary for a reliable diagnosis.

Thanks. I took it to the workshop and you were spot on. Turns out a cable connection was faulty. They repaired it for 95€. All working now!
