Corsa Electronic Parking Brake Failure

I've got a 2004 Vauxhall Corsa, diesel engine, with only 32099 km on the clock. The electronic parking brake has stopped working. The error's stored in the memory and the warning light is on the speedometer. I suspect the electric motor in the brake calliper is defective. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Hey, I've got a Corsa too, and had something similar happen. Was the brake switch checked? Could be a system glitch or something simple before you assume the motor is dead.

Thanks for the reply! Brake switch was checked, it's fine. System glitch, you say? Did yours throw the same errors and warning lights? How did you figure out what was wrong?

Yeah, same warning lights and error codes. Honestly, I couldn't figure it out myself. Took it to a workshop. Turned out to be the electric motor in the calliper, just like you suspected. Cost me a fortune!

Okay, thanks for confirming. Sounds like I'm headed for the workshop then. I'll brace myself for the cost.
