Corsa engine power loss

My 2019 Vauxhall Corsa diesel is having issues. It's done 161591 km. The check engine light is on, and I've noticed a drop in engine power, plus smoke when I accelerate. I'm leaning towards a crankcase ventilation valve malfunction. Anyone else had similar issues?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar with my Corsa, though I didn't get any smoke. Check engine light and power loss were the main symptoms. Could be the PCV valve sticking or leaking. Have you checked for any obvious signs of oil leaks around the engine?

Thanks for the quick reply! No obvious leaks that I can see, but I'll double-check in the daylight. When you say 'similar', was it definitely the crankcase ventilation, or could it have been something else?

Pretty sure it was the crankcase ventilation. Eventually took it to a workshop and they confirmed. Cost me around 360€ to get it sorted. I would recommend getting it checked out by a professional.

Appreciate the advice! Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop then. Hopefully, it's a straightforward fix like yours. Thanks again for sharing your experience!
