Corsa Engine Stalling

Purge valve, huh? I've heard of it, but I'm not really sure where to find it or how to check the hoses for clogs. Any chance you could give me a bit more detail? I'm not the most mechanically minded, but I'm willing to give it a shot!

Tracing the hoses can be a bit fiddly. Honestly, unless you're comfortable working around the engine, it might be best to take it to a workshop. They'll have the right tools and know-how to properly diagnose the issue. If it is the ventilation, it could cause the engine to stall. I couldn't clear the issue myself, so I took it to a professional.

Thanks for the advice! You were spot on about the hoses being clogged. Took it to a local shop, and they sorted it out for 175€. Runs like a dream now!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Corsa a while back. Check engine light and stalling are classic signs. Have you looked at the purge valve or the hoses connected to your fuel tank ventilation? It might be a clogged hose messing with your emission system. The purge valve’s job is to send fuel vapors from the fuel tank to the engine to be burned instead of releasing them into the atmosphere. When it fails the engine runs poorly, especially at idle.
