Corsa fog sensor issues

My 2013 Vauxhall Corsa (gasoline engine) is throwing a fit. It's got 192244 km on the clock, and this darn fog sensor is playing up. I'm getting an error code stored, the AC refuses to kick in, the windscreen washer jets are frozen solid even when it's not that cold, and the mirrors won't heat up! I've jiggled some wires, checked a few fuses, but I'm stumped. Anyone else seen this madness?

Sounds familiar! I've got a Corsa too and had similar issues a while back. AC dead, washer jets acting up... was a proper pain. Did you check the actual connector to the sensor itself? Sometimes they get corroded or just plain loose.

Yeah, I gave the connector a wiggle, but didn't see any obvious corrosion. Was yours definitely the fog sensor connector causing all that hassle, or was it something else entirely? Where exactly is it located?

Yep, mine was definitely the fog sensor plug. I’d say it's worth getting it checked professionally if you aren't sure. They will plug it into a computer and see what’s up. In my case, after messing about myself, I ended up just taking it to a workshop. It will save you a lot of time.

Right, I'm convinced! Off to the workshop it is! They reckon a dodgy cable or plug. Quoted me 95€ which seems reasonable enough. Thanks for the advice; hopefully, that’ll sort the little beast out!
